Dr. Rhonda S. Snyder was born and raised in Thurston County and attended Olympia High School. She did her undergraduate studies at Washington
State University. She graduated, summa cum laude, from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington
State University in 1988. After practicing for 5 years in the Seattle area, Dr.
Snyder returned home to create Mountain View Veterinary Hospital in 1993. Dr. Snyder and her husband, Jack, designed the hospital. Then,
with the help and support of family and friends, Jack built this facility. Mountain View Veterinary Hospital achieved American Animal Hospital Association accreditation in early 1994 and
has always strived to practice the best medicine possible for the “fuzzy family” of her clients. Starting out with one veterinarian, one staff member, and Jack, who became a veterinary assistant and receptionist,
Mountain View Veterinary
Hospital has grown into a four doctor facility with a staff of nearly
twenty people. Despite growing larger, at its heart, this hospital is still a small business that believes in the loving bond
between people and pets.
Dr. Snyder has 3 children, Jake, Eric, and Cassie, who have grown up with a multitude of “furry, feathered, and scaled
siblings.” Currently, she has 4 cats, Boogie, Phantom, Cyclopse and
Kreacher. Then, there’s Demon, the Flat Coated Retriever who
usually accompanies Dr. Snyder to work. Between family and veterinary responsibilities
she enjoys camping, reading, and an occasional ride on a rollercoaster.
When founding Mountain View Veterinary
Hospital, Dr. Snyder created a facility that practices the standard of
care that she expects for her own “critter kids.” The combination
of quality medicine and compassionate care, of new technology and old-fashioned caring is what Dr. Snyder expects for her
own pets and what Mountain View Veterinary
Hospital wants to provide for your pets.
Because at Mountain View Veterinary
Hospital, we know they’re not just pets…they’re family.
