Welcome to Mountain View Veterinary Hospital!

We at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital have successfully achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. We hold a place of honor within the association and profession. Only 14% of the veterinary practices throughout the United States and Canada have made the commitment to voluntarily participate in an on-site evaluation based on the highest standards in veterinary medicine. Our practice was evaluated on over 800 standards, proving a strong desire to provide high-quality medicine and top-notch client services.

Mountain View is proud to announce we now offer acupuncture at our hospital! Dr. Salloom (who has been in practice since 1998 and with Mountain View since 2004), attended the Chi Institute for small animal acupuncture and is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. She believes acupuncture is helping pets with both chronic and acute medical issues feel better and have an improved quality of life. She is using acupuncture, along with traditional veterinary medicine, to treat a variety of cases including musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, chronic herniated discs and GI issues. She is especially interested in treating Wobbler disease (a condition of the vertebrae that causes unsteady gait) with acupuncture. If you would like more information about acupuncture or would like to schedule an appointment with Dr. Salloom, give us a call at 360-438-9623.
Employee Award of the Month
The employee receiving an award for the month of February is Christine Thoman! Christine has worked as a receptionist with Mountain View Veterinary Hospital for nearly 8 years. She excels in caring for our patients and clients. She also has an outstanding memory when it comes to hospital policies.
Christine enjoys hanging out at her home with her own pets and with her friend’s pets as well. A couple of her friends own Border Collies, which she finds fascinating to watch them work at local sheepherding trials. They are the reason she owns her 2nd Border Collie, who will be 3 years old next month. She loves going to agility classes 1-2 times a week with her Border Collie Jett and recently competed in their first trial last month and placed 3rd in a Jumpers course. She is looking forward to their next trial in April. Her other hobbies include going on her walks with Jett to help burn off some of his daily energy, along with sewing, planting all those bulbs that are already starting to pop up after taking time planting them last year and having an amazing garden full of veggies for her and friends to enjoy.
